What people are saying about me
I had the pleasure of working with Mia for the four (4) years she worked at AT&T, in different capacities. We started working with one another at a peer level, then after I became the AD of UX for the CX Organization. So I've been able to see Mia, her work ethic, her passion, and her perseverance from a unique perspective.
One thing immediately that sets Mia off from other people is her strong personality, spirit and dedication to her craft. She doesn't just work as a Designer, she lives and breaths it. She always has something to share, to impart and most importantly teach. She's embodies what it means to be a strategic design thinker.
Since I was able to see here from different perspectives,I got a more rounded understanding. She's someone who values growth, which takes many forms. Not only did she champion the Customer Experience cause, but she also adapted the different environment that AT&T has. Coming from a more agency background, Mia had that agency spunk which gave her an edge. Her adaptability though allowed a sense of sagacity to eventually take root, and distinctively gave her an advantage in evangelizing CX.
This growth was further bolstered by her insatiable appetite to collaborate with others. Through this passion she was able to work with many different groups within AT&T and win over some who historically have been difficult to work with.
That difficulty was lessened because of her leadership qualities. Coming from previous roles where direct oversight of teams and entire work processes, gave her an edge. Which made her an invaluable asset when approaching many external partners.
Although her role in CX was more IC than Management/Direction, she worked on a large swath of projects. Ranging from in the weeds technical work, to helping push the CX discipline into the minds and hearts of others, to helping drive forward design direction, and help facilitate cleaner engagement with our systems and process for external partners.
Inside of the CX Design org, one thing is absolutely true. Our designers, especially Mia epitomizes the term "Design Strategist". As such Mia commanded a distinct understanding on how to connect the dots, think strategically, work with our various other disciplines within the CX Org and drive forward strategic work.
Mia would make a fantastic addition to any team needing someone who is bold, brilliant and human.

“Work is more rewarding when Mia is involved because she doesn't just create, she helps me figure out my business. She gets it, repeats it back (usually better), and then translates it into beautiful work—and helps crystallize the "it" in the process. Most importantly, her creative talent is rooted in the business case and she's laser focused on representing the strategy through beautiful graphical execution. And, if that's not enough, she's awesome to work with. Business savvy, insightful, super talented. Mia creates beautiful things.”

“Mia designed the logo and visual identity for our company, Taylor Stitch. Being that my business partner and I were starting a men's clothing company without any prior experience in the apparel industry, Mia's breath of experience and diversity of influences proved invaluable to our project. She is very perceptive to a vast array of brands, their marketing and branding strategy, and how they visually communicate their value proposition. Specific to our project, she created an identity for our company that was genuine to our vision but conscientiously unique and elegant with regards to the market we were entering. Honestly, we love our identity more and more every day. Most importantly, we loved the incredible energy and focus she brought to our project.”

I have worked with Mia on several projects for the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). Mia’s compelling visual aesthetic elevates the overall appeal of the materials our members and partners receive. Simply put, ASME’s message looks sophisticated, professional and refined through Mia’s design. Although the visual imagery of a trade organization may not be as exciting as compared to other marketers, Mia still makes the materials appear engaging. Mia is not just a creative director/designer; she combines a strategic and thoughtful approach that I’ve rarely seen with pure creative-minded people. On top of all that, Mia is easy and fun to work with. She consistently provides an enthusiastic perspective from our initial brainstorming through final execution. For some of my larger projects, Mia has been able to build a team of professionals (copywriters, web designers, print production specialists, etc.) and manage all aspects of the design process through production and delivery. It is a pleasure to work with Mia. I can easily recommend her for a wide variety of design challenges and projec

“Mia comes hard wired with a kind of intuitiveness and highly acute BS meter that helps her to cut to the quick and get to the heart of the value proposition that needs to be communicated on work of strategic nature. Then there is this kind of conceptual and visual ingenuity combined with an aesthetic sense that differentiates, and the work stands out but because it has more signal and less noise. So if you've read this far you could have already pinged her for your project and could be relaxing.”
